Who loves free software? I know I do! If you haven’t heard the buzz about the new Google Chrome web browser, then you are missing out on a great free download, which is especially great for those lower-powered cheap laptops.

Chrome is a web browser that is compatible with Windows only, and only Windows Vista and XP. For Mac and Linux users, stay tuned. Chrome 2.0 is currently in progress, though there is no set release date yet.

Another awesome feature within Chrome is the ease of doing a Google search right in the URL bar. Instead of having to download the Google toolbar, just use Google Chrome as your web browser, and simply open a new window or a new tab, type your search parameters in the url bar, and hit enter. The browser will open a Google search page for your keywords.
